Physical Therapist Assistant

Ascension Sacred Heart is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Port St. Joe, Florida. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to provide physical therapy interventions to patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting medically prescribed physical therapy, providing physical therapy interventions, and documenting treatment interventions given. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students, and other support personnel.
Responsibilities
* Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
* Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
* Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
* Document treatment interventions given.
* May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students, and other support personnel.
Requirements
* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
* Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
* High school diploma or GED required.
