About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CA-WA Private Mortgage Banker to join our team at Wells Fargo. In this role, you will play a critical part in our Consumer Lending division, focusing on Home Lending. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in soliciting residential mortgages from various sources, including realtors, builders, and financial professionals.
  • Produce high-quality jumbo loans that meet our compliance standards and provide excellent customer service.
  • Build relationships with affluent borrowers, leveraging your knowledge of the mortgage industry and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain a strong presence for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace, staying informed of industry developments and trends.
  • Present recommendations for producing loans, exercising independent judgment while adhering to our sales functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions, ensuring seamless loan processing.
  • Receive customer applications, quote rates and points, and complete follow-up activities with registration lock-in.
  • Review and analyze financial and credit data, matching customer needs with appropriate loan programs and risk levels.
  • Inform prospective and existing customers about Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures, maintaining high standards of client satisfaction and quality.
  • Pursue Wells Fargo training offerings to enhance your knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months, referred primarily from established, local, external sources.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Mortgage industry experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients.
