At Urban Resource Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crime Victims Case Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide direct services to victims of domestic violence and gender-based violence, including conducting intakes and assessments, providing safety planning and advocacy, and assisting clients with navigating the family court system.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct intakes and assessments of survivors of gender-based violence, including victims of crime, with a client-centered and trauma-informed approach.
- Provide essential case management services, including safety planning, advocacy in accessing emergency shelters, crisis intervention, court accompaniment and advocacy, law-enforcement accompaniment and advocacy, public assistance advocacy, and assistance with crime victims' compensation claims.
- Assist clients with emergency practical assistance such as transportation, food vouchers, and financial assistance.
- Provide information and referrals to appropriate onsite and offsite partners in legal services, social services, mental health services, and other related services to meet clients' needs.
- Collaborate with onsite partner agencies to streamline service provision through a client-centered lens.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Associate's degree and at least two years of relevant work experience, preferably with survivors of domestic violence and gender-based violence.
- Strong commitment to equity and social justice, including a focus on self-awareness and engagement of continuous learning around issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and experience with and/or knowledge of domestic violence within and against disenfranchised communities.
- A competitive salary range of $42,000-$45,000.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment.
