Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool at LewisGale Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional care for our progressive care patients. Your strong clinical judgment and expert nursing skills will positively impact patient outcomes while following company policies related to confidentiality.
You will be accountable for essential clinical knowledge and will display your ability to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care. Additionally, you will provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness, including pain assessment and reassessment.
You will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an effective and current plan of care. Effective documentation is crucial, and you will need to document succinctly and timely according to organizational policy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program is required.
- BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing is preferred.
- Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
