Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Sr. Battery Management Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage battery management systems for our eVTOL aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Develop performance prediction algorithms for battery packs
- Estimate State of Energy (SOE) and State of Power (SOP) of battery packs
- Verify models and algorithms using MIL, SIL, PIL, and HIL techniques
- Partner with PMO organization to implement build plan
- Develop test strategies, models, and algorithms to eliminate issues early in the design phase
- Optimize algorithms to work within real-time computer resource constraints
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required; Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated battery algorithm development experience
- Experience developing battery prediction algorithms like SOC, SOH, SOP, and SOE
- Experience in developing battery cell models for system simulation
- Experience in using advanced control techniques, such as EKF, state observers, machine learning, and multi-parameter optimization techniques
