Medical Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a key member of our center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors while providing exceptional customer service.
About the Role- You will determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reaction(s) that occur at the facility, following applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support employee vaccination programs, manage employee incidents, and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate degree from a recognized nursing program, with state requirements fulfilled.
- Current licensure or certification as an LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification, as well as basic IV therapy fulfillment in accordance with state requirements.
- Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
