Office Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Support Specialist to join our team in Abilene, TX. As an Office Support Specialist, you will provide critical support to our Operations team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations team with fleet management, vendor relations, and safety & security as needed.
- Paying office expenses, troubleshooting IT equipment/services, and maintaining office equipment inventory.
- Provide coverage for front desk operations to ensure clients and stakeholders are adequately served.
- Work closely with the Operations team to support facility management, facility renovations, moves, and related tasks.
- Assist with maintaining office supplies, processing office supply requests, and managing inventory.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
- Proven organizational experience with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, demonstrate timeliness, and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Working Environment:
This is a full-time position that requires occasional domestic (non-local) travel (up to 10%) and may involve occasional weekend and/or evening work. The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
