We believe in a holistic approach, addressing all aspects of a consumer's life, from independent living skills to community reintegration.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide treatment for speech and language disorders, including assessment and therapy for individuals with brain injuries. This role requires expertise in analyzing medical data, implementing effective therapies, and documenting progress. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and implement Minds Matter, LLC's philosophical principles in service delivery.
  • Evaluate consumers' mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine best therapy methods.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, daily notes, letters of medical necessity, and other necessary documentation.
  • Integrate employment, education, and independent living goals into therapy.
  • Collaborate with consumers and professional staff to determine goal achievement.
  • Attend team meetings and assist consumers in setting goals.
  • Provide services as designated on each individual's authorized plan of care.
  • Select and utilize adaptive equipment and augmentative alternative communication devices for home and community environments.
  • Work directly with consumers to improve life skills.
  • Document sessions concisely, factually, and clearly.
  • Educate families and caregivers about brain injury strategies and communicate progress as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships with consumers, coworkers, referral agents, and community agencies.
  • Promote public relations throughout the agency and community.
  • Serve on agency and interagency task groups as requested.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information according to HIPAA regulations.
  • Possess basic to moderate technology skills for our electronic medical record system.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Speech Language Pathology program from an accredited university.
  • Current eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is appreciated.
  • Lifting required for consumers with physical needs.
  • Good verbal skills and listening ability.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Basic iPad proficiency.
  • Reliable transportation.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
