Job Overview

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Relief Worker to provide essential support to individuals in our Substance Use Disorder Residential Programs.

The Relief Worker will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents, while also assisting with daily activities, implementing treatment plans, and providing medication administration and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health and safety of residents at all times.
  • Assist with implementing and teaching individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer and document medication as required.
  • Approve weekly activity logs for assigned residents.
  • Assist residents with benefits and budgeting.
  • Participate in program upkeep and maintenance.
  • Transport residents as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Six months of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Mass Driver's License required; ability to become medication, SFA, and CPR certified within five months of hire.
