About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Local Delivery Driver to join our team at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Marlborough, MA. This is a physically active role that requires the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and associated products to customer locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service;
  • Accurately counting and recording the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up;
  • Completing hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations;
  • Conducting and reporting pre-trip and post-trip inspections;
  • Identifying need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance;
  • Building relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs;
  • Continuously building knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing;
Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 2 years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School;
  • A valid class A or B CDL is required;
  • A current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire;
  • No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years;
  • No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years;
  • A pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate;
  • The ability to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds;
  • Read and write in English;
  • A High School or G.E.D. is required;
  • Be at least 21 years old;
  • Effective organizational, listening, and communication skills;
  • Uphold high standards of honesty and integrity;
  • Demonstrate personal ownership for safety and actively contribute to a strong safety culture;
  • Contribute to a positive work environment where differences are valued and supported;
  • Strive for personal achievement and helps others attain results;
