Job Summary

The Provider Data Services Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the abstraction, auditing, and monitoring of data from various information sources. This position requires the ability to work accurately and efficiently, ensuring that data is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Abstract, audit, and monitor data from various information sources
  • Assist with quality improvement activities related to database or registry outputs
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of correct, current, and up-to-date information for Intermountain, Select Health, and R1 business data
  • Work closely with the centralized credentialing department to audit initial credentialing applications and ensure compliance with federal guidelines

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of sophisticated computerized data systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
  • Intermediate level experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications
  • Ability to work with a variety of healthcare professionals and function with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with quarterly in-person meetings. The incumbent must be able to work through frequent interruptions, solve problems, and make decisions.
