Job Title: MDS Director

At Life Care, we're committed to providing exceptional senior care and hospitality. As an MDS Director, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest level of care and service.



Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and conduct MDS, resident care plans, and conferences on our computerized system.
  • Assure accuracy and completeness of entire medical records.
  • Monitor MDS completion within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
  • Ensure timely electronic submission of MDSs per State regulations.
  • Participate in family/resident care plan conferences.
  • Direct MDS department staff.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments regarding medical record documentation.
  • Educate nursing staff on documentation requirements for reimbursement.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, triple check, QA, and PPS.


Requirements:


  • At least 2 years of experience in skilled nursing MDS.
  • RN currently licensed by State of Florida.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • In-depth experience and knowledge working with MDS computer software required.
  • Experience with MDS transmittal process and understanding of regulations impacting the MDS required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
