Insurance Business Development Specialist

Are you a skilled sales professional with experience in the insurance industry?
We are seeking an experienced Sales Agent to join our team at First Tech Federal Credit Union. As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will be responsible for building your book of business within our agency and working with our staff to follow up on leads for new insurance requests and renewals for our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market yourself to build your book of business within our agency
- Work with our staff to follow up on leads for new insurance requests and renewals for our members
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the insurance department and the credit union
- Prepare proposals for prospects and make follow-up calls to members
- Maintain up-to-date electronic files on all current and prospective members in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Minimum 5 years' sales and customer service experience in an independent agency setting, demonstrating a successful sales record
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance policies and carriers
- Skilled in organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data to reach sound decisions and guide clients based on individual risk tolerances
- Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Partnered with other professionals for networking opportunities such as financial planners, mortgage brokers, and real estate agents
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations regarding personal lines insurance products
- Familiarity with an agency management system
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Comparative Rater
Certification/License:
Must have AZ Property & Casualty license, Life Insurance license. Other states a plus.
Location:
Remote - Arizona (Must reside in the state of Arizona, preferably in the Phoenix metro area)
Target Compensation in Arizona:
$34,800 annually + incentive (Up to $100K+)
