About the Job
At Amergis, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality nursing care to inmates in custody at our corrections facility in Shelton, WA.

**Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the corrections facility
• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, treat, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate with RNs regarding the plan of care and changes in medical plans
• Monitor patient safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
• Participate in infection control activities and orientation of new staff members
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures

Requirements:
• Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in corrections (preferred)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
• Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and other stakeholders
• Computer proficiency required
