About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with offenders and make a positive impact on their lives. As a Correctional Mental Health professional, you will be responsible for providing clinical mental health services to inmates, including assessments, treatment planning, and counseling.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to identify inmates' needs and develop individual treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and therapy services to inmates, including individual and group sessions.
- Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each inmate.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable role.
- Appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.
- Valid driver's license (unless required by contract or applicable statute).
