Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center as a Seasonal Medical Surgical Ortho Registered Nurse.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to gain experience in a fast-paced medical surgical environment while enjoying a seasonal commitment of 72 hours per pay period. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying any changes in their condition and reporting them promptly.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patient records.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in case of unintended reactions.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding through clear communication.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse license and Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
