Senior Gas Engine Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Gas Engine Technician to join our team at Archrock. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas engine and compressor maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

About the Role:

• We are offering a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, plus benefits and bonuses.
• You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer locations.
• As a technical resource, you will provide guidance and support to junior technicians and help resolve complex issues.
• Leadership opportunities may be available for those with demonstrated leadership skills.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with natural gas engines and compressors.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Demonstrated history of successful and safe service experience.
• Strong knowledge of gas engines, compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, controls, skid wiring, and relevant HSE procedures and regulations.

Work Environment:

• Frequent travel required, with occasional overnight stays.
• Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed.
• Must meet medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by role.
• Constantly required to display good manual dexterity and reach with hands and arms.
• Constantly required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to sit while driving or using a PC.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist with good balance.
• Regularly required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 110 pounds.
• Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand for at least 10 feet.
• Occasionally required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs, and vertical ladders.

• Resolves majority of troubleshooting issues with no help.
• Provides solutions to a diverse scope and range of complex engine and compressor problems.
