About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tramec Holdings. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine and scheduled inspections and maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform duties as directed from preventative maintenance work orders, referring to manufacturer's equipment manuals and prints for specific details not listed on work orders.
  • Cleaning and Lubrication: Clean and lubricate machine, equipment, and vehicle parts, replacing or repairing machine belts as needed.
  • Electrical and Plumbing: Connect wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, and terminate wire. Clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures.
  • Welding and Assembly: Operate a welding machine to repair or join metal parts, and assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water and drainage systems.
  • Supervision and Oversight: Oversee outside contractors' work on grounds, building structure, heating, electrical, facility lighting, fire suppression, and security.
  • Equipment Repair: Perform repair to equipment, machinery, and vehicles as directed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; basic math skills; ability to read and interpret technical documents; excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in various physical conditions, such as standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
  • Certifications: Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation; Fork Lift certification preferred.
