Compensation: $22 per hour

About the Role

This role involves supervising and coordinating the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer site. As an Armed Security Shift Supervisor, you will act as a liaison between site supervisors, Account Managers/Field Operations Managers, and professional security officers. You will supervise staff on assigned shifts, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment ranges.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise the day-to-day security operations of an assigned client site.
  2. Manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors, including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
  3. Evaluate and ensure the client site receives high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  4. Bilateral relationships with clients and employees through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when necessary.
  6. Calmly and efficiently respond to incidents and critical situations.
  7. Regularly conduct patrols around the business and perimeter.
  8. Maintain effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public professionally.
  9. Frequently prepare neat, legible reports and logs.
  10. Read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
  11. Demonstrate intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative wireless technology at client sites.
  12. Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at client sites calmly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • A valid Florida Security License D License and G License are mandatory.
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Shift Supervisor in security.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Able to use a computer or tablet.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions for the entire shift.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • Pass a background investigation and drug screen according to federal, state, and local laws.
