We are seeking a Rehabilitation Support Specialist to join our team This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for assisting therapists and patients with rehabilitation efforts.
Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Support Specialist will assist therapists and therapy assistants with routine tasks, such as cleaning, quality control checks, room setup, inventory ordering, and preparing patients and equipment for treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues in accordance with organizational guidelines.
- Perform routine functions in patient care databases and systems, including electronic medical records.
- Assist therapists and therapy assistants with patient care as needed.
- Maintain adequate department supplies within budget as directed by leadership.
- Clean and perform quality control checks, temperature checks, whirlpool cultures, and other items as delegated by leadership.
- Complete record-keeping and other tasks assigned by leadership.
- Transport patients according to therapist's instructions, using proper technique and equipment.
Requirements
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
- High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) (required)
- No prior work experience necessary
