Job Overview

Valor Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our nation's veterans.

About the Role

We are offering a competitive salary ranging from $24/hr to $27/hr for this exciting opportunity. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with various health conditions. Your duties will include administering medications, performing routine diagnostic tests, dressing wounds, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop effective patient care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Actively assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
  • Administer medications as directed by medical providers and record information in patient electronic charts.
  • Dress wounds and incisions, interpret physician instructions, and assist with emergencies.
  • Collect lab specimens and perform waived laboratory tests on these specimens.
  • Clean treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies using approved cleaning solutions.
  • Submit laboratory and radiology results to medical providers and provide private practice results to VA for scanning or scanning into patient records.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a diploma or certificate from an accredited program of practical or vocational nursing. A minimum of one year of experience as an LPN/LVN in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting is also required. You must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA) and hold a valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment. Additionally, you should have proficiency in written and spoken English and strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
