Description:

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) to work as an Automation Windows Engineer - Cybersecurity Specialist. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated provisioning systems for Windows systems in both air-gapped and connected environments.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with experience in Windows OS administration and deployment automation using Foreman. You should have strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and hands-on experience with Foreman for OS provisioning and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated provisioning systems for Windows systems.
  • Develop and apply security policies and OS hardening techniques to ensure the highest level of security for deployed systems.
  • Create and manage patch management processes to keep systems up to date with the latest security updates and patches.
  • Implement auditing and revision tracking mechanisms to monitor and document changes across the network.
  • Develop troubleshooting tools and processes to quickly resolve system issues.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate security best practices into the deployment processes.
  • Create detailed documentation and provide training for IT staff on the use of the automated provisioning system.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the system remains robust and secure.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in cybersecurity and automated Operating Systems provisioning.
  • Proven experience with Windows OS administration and deployment automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Red Hat or other Linux systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Docker or PodMan, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code (VS Code) or similar development environments.
