Nurse Position in Allergy and Asthma Care

Family Allergy & Asthma is seeking a skilled Clinic Nurse to join our team. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our allergy and asthma clinic.
Job DescriptionThe Clinic Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients during assigned duty hours, including preparing them for doctor's visits, administering medications, and conducting pulmonary function testing. You will also be involved in maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with patients and staff, and adhering to HIPAA policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare rooms for patients and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for doctor's visits.
- Administer medications, perform skin testing, and other procedures as ordered by doctors.
- Maintain accurate records, complete documentation in the EMR system, and scan testing sheets.
- Schedule appointments for outpatient procedures, administer allergy injections, and maintain clinical areas and exam rooms.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A diploma in Nursing (LPN/RN) with an active and unrestricted nursing license.
- 1-2 years of experience in an office setting, preferably in allergy/asthma care.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients and staff.
- CPR certification and a valid driver's license.
- Acceptable results on background screenings, drug screens, and other checks.
The Clinic Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients and staff regularly. The noise level is moderate, and lighting is standard. Employees are subject to infectious waste and potential exposure to allergens in concentrated forms.
