Job Summary
The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a skilled Benefits Program Administrator to oversee the administration of employee benefit programs. This role involves mediating between benefits providers and employees, explaining policies and procedures, and communicating changes related to insurance and retirement rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and direct employee benefit programs
- Mediate between benefits providers and employees
- Explain and interpret policies and procedures
- Communicate changes related to insurance and retirement rules
- Manage tracking and monitoring of Affordable Care Act (ACA) required stability and waiting periods
- Manage review and reconciliation of insurance premiums
- Evaluate the needs of employees and accurately communicate benefit information and options
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience/education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
