Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our New Construction division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building long-lasting relationships with clients, identifying business opportunities, and developing strategic market plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Generate leads, provide exceptional customer service, develop proposals, and acquire new customers.
  • Proposal Development: Create accurate estimates, assemble high-quality proposals, and demonstrate excellent written communication skills.
  • Market Strategy: Develop and own market strategies, including SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, and vertical market and horizontal offering strategies.
  • Project Analysis: Analyze project potential, considering changing market conditions.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on market trends and conditions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal resources to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Support: Assist the Senior Account Executive with larger projects and coordinate with the Business Unit Manager to ensure successful project execution.
Client Relations
  • Client Support: Provide support to clients regarding project financing and contracting issues.
  • Accountability: Act as the client's single point of accountability.
  • Relationship Building: Develop personal relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Relationship Management: Utilize McKinstry's tools and processes to support customer relationship strategies.
Requirements
  • Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in all responsibilities of a Sales Engineer.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) and working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience.
  • Experience: Seven years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor, engineering firm, or vendor, and two years of experience leading and closing sales.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates, and knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems.
