Job Overview

The Christian Post is seeking a skilled journalist to join our Washington DC newsroom and report on news affecting the Christian community from a biblical perspective.


As a General Assignment Reporter, you will be responsible for writing daily articles for our online platform, covering national and international news. Our publication focuses on news and opinion about church, ministries, and non-profits, human rights, education, public policies, and politics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring news and generating story ideas
  • Writing news, feature, and in-depth articles and reports
  • Conducting interviews with newsmakers and news sources
  • Developing and maintaining contacts with news sources
  • Covering national events


Requirements:

  • At least three years' experience in news/magazine writing, preferably digital
  • Ability to work under deadlines without compromising reporting and writing standards
  • Expertise with AP style
  • Agreement with The Christian Post's statement of faith
  • Full-time work in the Washington, D.C. newsroom
