Resources for Human Development (RHD) is a leading national human services nonprofit dedicated to creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at the Montgomery County Recovery Center in Norristown.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a progressive, interdisciplinary team focused on providing medication-assisted treatment for opiate addiction. As a Recovery Specialist, you will impact the health of individuals, families, and communities through health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease care.

The successful candidate will provide direct service care via individual and group therapy, complete required documentation, and work collaboratively with family/supports, multidisciplinary teams, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care. You will also facilitate specialty groups, evaluate client progress, and report to funders/referral sources as requested.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions
  • Maintain a caseload of 35+ patients
  • Responsible for clinical chart documentation, including Treatment Plans, DAP notes, Case Consultations, and Psychosocial Assessments
  • Attend and present clinical case consultations, treatment plan updates, and clinical supervisions as scheduled
  • Provide crisis intervention and assist in client aftercare planning and follow-up
  • Facilitate specialty groups as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, chemical dependency, or similar field
  • At least 1+ years' experience in the drug and alcohol field
  • Current PA State certification or license strongly preferred; ability to obtain certification or licensure following hire
  • Completion of 8 hours of Buprenorphine training program (can be completed post-hire)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
What We Offer

RHD offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits package, generous PTO plan, scholarship and tuition programs, student loan forgiveness program, cell phone discounts, and more.
