Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and assistance to patients with mental health needs, promoting their comfort and well-being.
  • Assist licensed personnel in the delivery of quality patient care, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Perform essential tasks such as vital sign checks, specimen collection, and post-mortem care, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and contribute to a positive hospital environment.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering open communication and empathy.

Requirements:

  • CNA Certification (Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry) and BLS Certification-American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider)
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent and successful completion of Nurse Aide course or the equivalent
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in mental health settings preferred
