Overview:
Hopeline Recovery Center is seeking a Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant to join our treatment team. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to provide exceptional patient care.
Salary:
$45,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience.
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and clerical support to the nursing staff. This includes assisting with the admission process, performing various tasks related to patient care, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the admission process by welcoming patients, performing OOWS/CIWA assessments, breathalyzer tests, and obtaining urine specimens while maintaining chain of custody.
- Obtain client height and weight, dispense the written part of the nursing intake assessment, and explain the sections that need to be completed.
- Work with treatment aides to communicate client special needs and get clients to their rooms in a timely manner.
- Review all open clinical charts for completeness using the Chart Review Form, inform individual staff of problems to be corrected, flag physician orders for needed signatures twice weekly, and aggregate monthly data as requested by the Director of Nursing.
- Inform Medical Records of completed patient H&P for the purpose of completing SAMIS reports and diagnostic AXIS in the database.
- Label chart binders at time of counselor assignment and obtain daily admission/transfer/discharge reports for Medical Records.
- Complete Patient Charges Forms for self-pay and private insurance clients at discharge and forward to accounting.
- Review bills from outside vendors for accuracy based on actual lab tests completed and medications ordered, indicate discrepancies on the bill, sign off that bills have been reviewed, and forward to accounting.
- Order supplies, stock medications, and educational materials as requested.
- Perform CQI indicators as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant license from an accredited program.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with relative experience.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
