About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Service Specialist to join our field service team in the Middletown, CT area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance services to our customers. Your primary focus will be to ensure our clients' testing systems operate efficiently and effectively, meeting their specific requirements and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
* Travel to customer sites within the greater Middletown area to perform verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of Instron's products* Work from home, using company-provided tools and equipment, including a laptop computer, cell phone, and MI-FI device* Collaborate with colleagues and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty* Provide training and guidance to new team members as needed

Requirements
* Two or four-year technical degree from an accredited university in a relevant field, such as electro-mechanics or materials science* Equivalent military or trade school training may be accepted in lieu of degree* Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, including mechanics, electronics, and PC operation* Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills* Prior field service experience strongly preferred; automation systems experience is a plus
