Senior Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team. This position offers a unique blend of remote and in-office work, providing flexibility and convenience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and performing account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and manage cost accounting tasks.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct financial audits and prepare audit reports.
  • Manage risk within the organization, including overseeing the company's insurance policies.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and present findings.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop financial strategies and make recommendations to enhance profitability and financial stability.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and financial accounting.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and the implementation of internal controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements and conduct financial audits.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and insurance.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the insurance industry and/or agency experience is highly desired for this role.
Benefits and Salary
