Job Summary:

The Executive Chef is responsible for the preparation and presentation of food in our hotel's restaurant. This includes preparing sauces, soups, and hot entrees, as well as garnishing and plating dishes to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to order, using standardized recipes and presentation techniques.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies, including ordering and receiving new stock.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they are following proper food safety and handling procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and housekeeping, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
