Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to infants, children, and adolescents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and fears.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Previous Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred.
