Job Summary

A Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at SSM Health is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound diagnostic procedures on patients, producing accurate images for medical interpretation. This role requires registered credentials in multiple areas of sonography and involves maintaining equipment, ensuring image quality, and adhering to safety standards.

About the Role

This part-time position offers a variable schedule with 20 hours of work per week. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be located at Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Perform routine and complex ultrasound studies, implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations during exams.
  • Maintain equipment functionality, reporting potential issues or malfunctions to relevant personnel.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, images labeled correctly, and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and other areas.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and adhere to established guidelines.
Education and Experience

The ideal candidate should have completed a Sonography certification program. No prior experience is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.

We offer an estimated annual salary range of $76,520-$108,720, depending on qualifications and location.
