We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Early Childhood Education Professional to join our team at the Northeast Youth Center.
About the JobThis role involves supporting Teachers and the Director in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, assisting in activities that promote quality education, and developing positive relationships with children and their parents. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities, observing and documenting children's progress, and communicating effectively with staff and parents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing educational activities that promote child development and engagement.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring availability of necessary materials.
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents through regular updates on children's progress.
- Model good hygiene and self-help skills to encourage children to adopt similar habits.
- Support smooth transitions from home to child care center, ensuring a seamless experience for children.
- Comply with all center policies and state regulations, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
- High energy levels and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with basic computer proficiency.
- Understanding of child development principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
- Ability to pass a full background check and TB test.
