About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content Marketing Director to join our team at GuideStone. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for driving our content and education strategies to maximize our unique position in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a unified content, education, and thought leadership strategy that promotes GuideStone as a faith-aligned expert to members and ministry partners.
  • Drive the educational strategy, content creation, and distribution across various channels and platforms, helping our members and ministry partners feel informed to start well, stay well, and finish well.
  • Create new content, revise current content, and curate third-party content to enhance member and ministry partner loyalty, satisfaction, and lifetime value.
  • Develop annual and quarterly marketing and content plans based on insights, target personas, seasonal themes, and enterprise needs.
  • Analyze content performance, manage topical content engagement, and perform quarterly audits to optimize content and education strategy.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to identify and build up thought leaders across topics to lend professional expertise and guidance content where possible.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of awareness and understanding of GuideStone's audience types, business needs, drivers, etc., to guide the creation of appropriate, compelling content strategies.
  • Measure and drive demonstrable business results and ROI through content marketing and education.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in content marketing, marketing communications, or a related field.
  • Must be a member of a faith-aligned church.
  • Industry experience in financial services or insurance preferred.
  • Advanced professional writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation, and spoken formats to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, showing an ability to influence without ownership, gaining support and trust across the organization to achieve agreed-upon business outcomes.
  • Passionate about GuideStone's purpose and ability to drive brand impact.
  • Travel required up to 15% annually.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office and GuideStone system applications.
  • Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
