Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum that is inclusive of the arts and technology, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment, and providing effective feedback to students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum that is inclusive of the arts and technology
- Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Provide coverage in other classrooms as assigned
- Identify individual student needs and differentiate curriculum as needed
- Ensure effective and timely feedback for students
- Collaborate with the Educational Leadership Team to plan, develop, and implement best practices
- Maintain thorough and continued awareness and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP), 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Accurately complete attendance records and incident reports
- Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Able to relate effectively and positively with adults and youth from diverse social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Adept at both verbal and written communication on an interpersonal or group level
- Ability to teach the required curricula
- High level of competence in computer applications
- Skilled at prioritizing work with multiple competing demands
- Valid Minnesota Secondary Teaching License for English, certificate or other legal credentials required for level of assignment or ability to be waived by the Minnesota Department of Education
- Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet PCYC's driving record requirements
PCYC offers a competitive salary range of $49,000-$58,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, dental and vision insurance, and employer contributions to a Health Savings Account.
