Epic Travel Staffing is a leading healthcare staffing agency that offers exciting opportunities for travel nurses. Our latest opening is for a Cardiac Care Specialist with expertise in open heart management.
Job DescriptionThis 8-week assignment is based in a specialized unit with 36 beds, caring for advanced care cardiac patients and providing continuous telemetry services. The ideal candidate will have experience in pre and post-op open heart management, including CABG, valve, mitral clip, and TAVR procedures, as well as thoracotomy and lung cases.
The Cardiac Care Specialist will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve targeted patient ratios of 1:4-6. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret strips.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Oregon Healthcare License
- At least 1.5 years' experience as an RN
- SD/PCU experience is mandatory; ICU experience does not count towards this requirement
- EPIC system experience is essential
- CABG experience is required
- BLS, ACLS, IV start, NIH, and cardiac drip titration skills are necessary
- Nurses will be fitted for N95 masks prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered or needed
- Travel experience is preferred; some level 1 or 2 experience is also desired

The estimated weekly rate for this position is $2928 per week, based on qualifications and experience. Please note that pay rates are subject to change and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
LocationThis assignment is located in a specialty area with local housing available within 50 miles of the contracted facility. Nurses will be expected to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
