Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Professional to join our team at the Space Coast Surgery Center. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a crucial role in capturing and processing x-ray images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Ensure patient care and safety during imaging procedures, maintaining equipment and complying with safety standards.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
  • Operate radiologic machines, taking x-ray images and producing high-quality radiographs.
  • Develop, copy, and fix x-ray films, preparing solutions for processing.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work and maintain records, files, and reports as needed.
Requirements:
  • A valid certification as a certified Radiologic Technologist issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, analyze situations accurately, and take effective action.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team, remaining calm under pressure and working overtime as required.
Working Conditions:

This is a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, requiring the ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift or turn disabled patients. The normal office environment is climate-controlled during business hours, with occasional evening and/or weekend work.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
