Precast Structural Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Precast Structural Designer to join our team at Excel Engineering Inc.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering with experience in designing precast and prestressed concrete components and structures.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $90,000 and $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
About the RoleThis role involves working on various projects that require expertise in precast concrete design, including hollow core planks, beams, columns, double tees, solid load-bearing wall panels, and architectural cladding panels.
The successful candidate will also have experience with software such as Autodesk REVIT, Microsoft Excel, and other specialty software used in the precast industry.
We are looking for someone who can apply their knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and PCI Handbook to ensure that all designs meet or exceed industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design precast and prestressed concrete components and structures using Autodesk REVIT and other specialized software.
- Develop and implement designs that meet or exceed industry standards, as outlined in IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and PCI Handbook.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that all designs are cohesive and meet client requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in precast concrete design.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in precast concrete design.
- Proficiency in software such as Autodesk REVIT and Microsoft Excel.
- A strong understanding of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and PCI Handbook.
