About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Purchasing Analyst to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient procurement of pharmaceuticals, managing shortages, and analyzing operational data to optimize financial forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cost-efficient pharmaceutical procurement procedures and methods across the enterprise.
  • Compile, monitor, and analyze data to identify areas of improvement in pharmacy and supply chain processes.
  • Work with local pharmacy teams and analysts to develop strategic recommendations and execute actions for procurement and savings opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of performance metrics, dashboard reporting, and operations performance management processes.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent education.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, analytics, or a health science-related field is preferred but not required.
  • Background in pharmacy operations, engineering, or analytics with 0-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Inpatient Pharmacy Technician certification is not necessary but strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in and maintaining databases such as Microsoft Excel and Access is strongly preferred.
