At Phoenix Children's Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

This part-time position is responsible for providing respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonate to adolescent. As a specialist in this role, you will facilitate and administer routine and complex procedures using various techniques and equipment.

You will ensure that patient care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will participate in executing quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive customer relations attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Safe Procedure Performance: Safely perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines, and policies.
  • Patient Interaction: Interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team in an understandable manner based on individual diversity and learning styles.
  • Data Interpretation: Accurately and reliably interpret and communicate patient data.
  • Clinical Status Assessment: Assess patients' clinical status, evaluate progress towards goals, and recommend courses of action.
  • Critical Situation Resolution: Analyze critical situations and apply appropriate judgment and critical thinking for problem resolution.
  • Professional Development: Continuously improve and take the initiative to develop knowledge and skills through appropriate learning experiences and opportunities.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively in a team-based environment, especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities.
  • Productivity Management: Manage multiple priorities and apply effective time management skills, using downtime for work-related activities.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
