Job Title: Order Taker/Runner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Order Taker/Runner to join our team at H-E-B Restaurant. As an Order Taker/Runner, you will play a key role in providing positive and memorable service to our guests while taking orders, preparing drinks, delivering food, and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area and patio.

Responsibilities:

* Take orders from customers and assist with menu and beverage selections
* Provide detailed information on menu items and specials
* Serve food, drink, and products to guests
* Process cash, check, debit, and credit transactions accurately and quickly
* Use suggestive selling techniques to meet guest needs and build department sales
* Interact positively with customers in person, on the phone, or through technology
* Assist with catering orders as needed
* Address complaints and resolve problems in a way that builds relationships

Requirements:

* Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
* 1+ years of experience in customer service
* Experience in restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems (preferred)
* Completion of Alcohol Seller Training/Cash Handling training upon hire

Working Conditions:

* Work in a fast-paced, retail environment
* Work extended hours and/or rotating schedules
* Safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
* Frequently stand, walk, and be exposed to wet and cold conditions
* Occasionally reach at overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements, shoulder circumduction
