Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Data Analyst to support our organization's data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have expertise in querying Microsoft SQL Server databases and working with Virtuous CRM, both as an administrator and a data analyst. As you grow in this role, you will develop into the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Virtuous within our organization. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this position, and experience with PowerBI is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Querying & Analysis:
Develop, write, and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from MS SQL Server databases.
Generate reports, dashboards, and data models to support business decisions.
CRM Administration & Analysis:
Serve as the administrator for the Virtuous CRM platform, handling configuration, user roles, and permissions.
Utilize Virtuous CRM for querying and extracting relevant data to support fundraising, marketing, and donor relations efforts.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure that the CRM is optimized for organizational needs and data accuracy.
Excel Reporting & Analysis:
Use advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and macros, to analyze and present data effectively.
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports based on business requirements.
Data Integrity & Management:
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems, including Virtuous CRM and MS SQL databases.
Monitor data quality, perform data cleansing, and address data discrepancies as needed.
Technical Subject Matter Expertise:
Become the go-to technical SME for Virtuous CRM within the organization.
Stay updated on new features and best practices for Virtuous and provide training or guidance to internal stakeholders.
PowerBI (Preferred, but not Required):
Leverage PowerBI to create interactive dashboards and data visualizations (if applicable).
Provide insights into potential PowerBI implementations to enhance organizational reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in querying MS SQL Server databases.
Experience with Virtuous CRM, both as a user and administrator.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation techniques.
Solid understanding of data integrity, database management, and reporting best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
Knowledge of fundraising, marketing, or donor relations processes is a plus.
Familiarity with other data visualization tools or CRM platforms is advantageous.
Education & Experience:
Minimum Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar role.
Experience working in a non-profit or similar organization is a plus.
