Job Summary

Bastian Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting procurement, purchasing, and subcontracting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct procurement and subcontracting activities, including sourcing equipment and materials, awarding services, and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Prepare and issue RFQ packages for bid, evaluate bids, and negotiate terms.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and subcontracts, manage change orders, and administer agreements throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues with vendors related to scope, price, quality, delivery, condition, and service level.
  • Issue supplier alert notices, including Non-Conformance Reports and Overage Shortage and Damage Reports.
  • Conduct Purchase Order closeout activity and warranty period management.
  • Assist in researching, analyzing, and drawing data-driven conclusions from company spend data to support department and company KPIs.
  • Research and evaluate new procurement sources and vendors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
  • At least one year of procurement experience, with a minimum of one year of experience in each of the following areas:
  • Conducting procurement and subcontracting activities.
  • Preparing RFQ packages and issuing RFQ packages for bid.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering documents to determine procurement and purchasing needs.
