Job Summary:

Toshiba International Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and repair services for Toshiba products in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer telephone technical support assistance
  • Assist other service personnel with troubleshooting, repair, and product application problems
  • Train customers and Toshiba employees on product trouble shooting, repair, and application
  • Maintain and update a central library of product manuals and engineering design change data for the Field Service Department

Requirements:

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repair of group's products
  • Minimum of one year's experience in trouble shooting and repair
  • Has attended most in-house service training schools for products

Work Environment:

The Field Service Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, providing technical support and repair services for Toshiba products in the field. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

The Field Service Engineer will be required to perform all physical functions normally associated with an electrical worker at a start-up construction site, including lifting, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, working in cramped locations, and in dusty non-climatically controlled situations.

Travel:

The Field Service Engineer will be required to travel up to 15% to 25% of the time.

Education/Certification:

Prefer one of:

  • Technical university degree/Associates degree
  • Military power electrical training program
  • or electrical apprenticeship program

Skills & Experience:

Skilled in troubleshooting and repair of group's products

Minimum of one year's experience in trouble shooting and repair

Has attended most in-house service training schools for products

Tools/Equipment:

Common hand/power tools, electronic test equipment, chart recorders, high voltage test equipment, programmers for micro processor based equipment such as PLC's, and computers
