Job Title: Head Cook
About the Role: As a key member of our team at Bar W Guest Ranch, the Head Cook is responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring the highest level of quality in food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Design and Planning: Develop and implement menus that showcase our commitment to exceptional cuisine and exceed guest expectations.
- Culinary Leadership: Manage and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety protocols and ensuring the highest standards of quality in food preparation and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Effectively manage food and supply inventory, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Guest Experience: Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the kitchen, engaging with guests and ensuring their culinary needs are met.
- Expense Management: Monitor and manage kitchen expenses, preparing accurate reports and maintaining a transparent accounting system.
Requirements:
- Culinary Expertise: Proven experience in culinary leadership and menu design.
- Food Safety Certification: Serve Safe Food Handler Certification.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
