Responsibilities- Assess patients' physiologic health status and develop individualized plans of care
- Conduct patient interviews, explain policies and procedures, and review patient charts
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Use leadership skills and clinical judgment to direct and delegate patient care activities
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Participate in patient and family education, and provide discharge instructions
- Evaluate patient outcomes and perform variance analysis to improve care
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's Degree in Nursing, required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required
- BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed
