Job Title: Senior Cobol Programmer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cobol Programmer to join our team at Saxon Global. As a Senior Cobol Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Cobol applications on the mainframe platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop Cobol applications using MVS utilities, MVS JCL, and CICS Command Level programming
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve mainframe systems issues
- Develop and maintain DB2 programming for applications
- Utilize SDLC Methodology and Change Control software to ensure efficient project delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Cobol programming

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
- At least five years of mainframe programming experience in Cobol, MVS utilities, MVS JCL, and CICS Command Level programming
- Minimum of two years of mainframe systems analysis experience
- Proficiency in LAN, Intermediate Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Strong business writing, project management, time management, and conflict resolution skills
