Fleet Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet vehicles by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic to take on new responsibilities and contribute to the success of our organization. In this role, you will work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing your technical expertise to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and drivers. A high level of mechanical aptitude, combined with experience working in a fast-paced environment, is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Detect and diagnose equipment problems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts, such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities in our Shop Fax system
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operation of the shop
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations related to fleet maintenance
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities

Salary InformationOur estimated salary range for this role is $32-$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
